Information we collect

• Waitlist signups. We store your email address and signup time. If you arrive through a campaign link, we may also store its UTM campaign labels, such as source or campaign name. Joining the waitlist does not create an app account.
• Private accounts. Approved testers sign in with ChatGPT. We receive an account identifier, email address, and display name when provided. laterlight does not collect your ChatGPT password.
• Your activity in the private app. We store information you choose to add, including your library, ratings, notes, watch history, streaming-service selections, taste preferences, and recommendation conversations.
• Technical information. Hosting and sign-in services may process network and browser information needed to deliver and protect the site. The waitlist uses a temporary hashed network identifier to limit repeated submissions; the waitlist database does not store your raw IP address.

Your public conversation with Dean

Dean’s public onboarding replies are scripted. The public conversation stays in browser memory and resets when the page reloads. It does not send your questions to an AI service. When you submit an email address, we send that address and any supported campaign labels to our signup endpoint to save your place on the waitlist.

Please avoid entering sensitive personal information. Conversations inside the private app work differently: requests and relevant taste information may be processed by an AI service to generate recommendations.

How we use information

We use signup information to manage early access and contact you with an invitation. We use private-app information to operate your account, remember your taste, personalize recommendations, and maintain your library. Technical information helps us keep the service reliable and prevent abuse.

The current waitlist sends no automatic confirmation emails and is not connected to an email marketing platform.

Access and service providers

Only the site owner can view or export the waitlist and manage approved testers. Private app access requires authentication and approval.

We rely on service providers to host the site and database, authenticate accounts, and support private-app recommendations. The site is hosted through OpenAI Sites on Cloudflare infrastructure. OpenAI processes private recommendation requests and relevant app information, such as your prompt, preferences, library titles, and ratings. Catalog and availability providers supply film and streaming information.

Links to ChatGPT, streaming services, and other third-party sites lead to services with their own privacy policies. This policy covers laterlight, rather than those independent services.

Browser storage

The site uses browser storage for features such as app preferences, draft prompts in the private app, and cached assets for offline loading. Authentication may also rely on cookies managed by the hosting or sign-in service. We do not currently use advertising pixels or a separate analytics platform.

You can clear site data or change storage permissions in your browser. Doing so may reset preferences, remove cached assets, or require you to sign in again.

Retention and security

We retain waitlist signups while managing early access, unless you ask us to remove yours. Private-app information is retained to provide your account and its features; contact us to request its deletion. Expired waitlist rate-limit records are removed as new submissions arrive.

We restrict access to administrative features and use authenticated access for private data. No online service or storage system can guarantee complete security. Information may be processed in countries other than where you live by the services supporting this site.

Your choices and requests

To leave the waitlist, correct your email, ask about your information, or request account-data deletion, email lencrockett@gmail.com. Use the email associated with your signup or account where possible. We may need to verify your identity before acting on an account request.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal information. Contact us to discuss a request. You can stop using the service at any time.

Children’s privacy

laterlight is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact lencrockett@gmail.com so we can investigate and remove it.
